I crawled inside a poem, a dance, and a city of sorrow.

Her world, I entered into it and touched the colors of her swirls and the depths of her dream.

This image was created for Bone Dance, a powerful poem written by Lorne Daniel. It is not a poem one can read once nor is it a poem one will easily forget. I know I never will. It has burning and staying power.

Normally, I would choose to rewrite the poem, which inspired my image in this space. However, this time I decided not to touch Daniel’s words more than I already have. Instead, I left Bone Dance in the precious garden where I found her, untouched and unstirred.
